City of Denver

The city of Denver is located in the state of Colorado and is the state capital. It also has the highest population in Colorado and is located in the area called the South Platte River Valley. Given that fact that its elevation is exactly one mile, Denver is often referred to as the “Mile-High City.” In terms of population, Denver also has the tenth largest central business district in the entire country. Denver started as a mining town back in 1858 and it currently offers low auto insurance rates and has become well known for its casual restaurants. For example, Quizno’s, Smashburger and Chipotle Mexican Grill all started in Denver.
